Waggoner Engineering is a leading civil engineering firm dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Class B Water Plant Operator to join our team in Meridian, MS. If you have experience in water treatment operations and a Class B Water Plant Operator license, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimal efficiency.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor and adjust water treatment processes, including chemical dosing, filtration, and disinfection, to maintain water quality within specified parameters.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and instrumentation, to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including water quality data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as equipment failures or water quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.



Qualifications
  • License: Class B Water Plant Operator license issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or training in water treatment is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a water plant operator, with a focus on Class B water treatment processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Proficient in operating and troubleshooting water treatment plant equipment.
    2. Knowledge of water treatment principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, report on plant operations, and interact with regulatory agencies.
