Your role at BHSN:
To provide engagement and support in the community and/or office setting as a member of the clinic team including assisting with risk assessments, brief interventions, care management and follow up support post crisis or post appointment. At the discretion of the program director, may be assigned to train and supervise other staff as deemed appropriate. Expected to provide excellent patient care and compassion in every counter, aligned with the organizations core values.

What your day might look like:
- Provides support and care to those engaged in services or treatment
- Informs individuals of OMH Participant Rights upon request
- Understands Crisis Team policy and procedure manual, Agency and regulatory policies and procedures
- Participates in the writing and timely completion of any required documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations and agency policies and procedures
- Participates in care planning and coordination meetings to facilitate care process. As assigned, sees individuals who are an immediate crisis to curtail emergency visits and/or inpatient admissions
- Additional duties as assigned
Your skills and qualifications:
- High-school graduate or GED.
- Ability to obtain OMH Peer Certification within 90 days of employment
- Complete OHM Partnering for Safety & CPR training within 90 days of employment
- Personal experience with Mental Health recovery-oriented treatment.
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required for local and regional travel
