CPQ Product Configurator Developer

General Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining our product configurators in Salesforce, which incorporates engineering and manufacturing BOM documentation into an online ordering system for internal and external customer use. We are looking to add a developer to our Product Configuration team to improve the backend data framework in Salesforce to increase the efficiency of configurator maintenance and improve our front-end experience for our customers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce CPQ product configurators.
  • Analyze and develop future state requirements for Salesforce configurators and new product offerings.
  • Demonstrate creativity in identifying effective approaches for programming solutions that will improve the Salesforce configurator.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product configurators as an external front-facing sales tool.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug configurators.
  • Works with engineering and program teams to establish requirements for the configurator and understand the documentation. I.e.: acceptable configurations, pricing, market, and certifications
  • Regularly works with other system integrations that manage or control data to and from the configurator.
  • Works with the marketing and product teams to ensure configurator follows brand standard.
  • Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high-quality business outcomes.
  • Delivers high quality code applications and solutions that are expandable and scalable within the product platform.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Collaborate in the development of integrations.
  • Provides technical guidance to other internal teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 2 years of Product Configurator applications experience.
  • Java Script knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with Apex (Salesforce coding language).
  • Prior experience with database management systems.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ and CRM.
  • Experience with ERP Integrations are a plus (Infor)
  • Ability to build arrays and objects.
  • Hands on ability to write and review quality code, prepare, and contribute to design and architecture.
  • Must be proficient in development environments, debugging tools and source control systems.
  • Direct experience with a front-end development framework also a plus.
  • Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Worked in products or technologies with scalable and sustainable architectures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
