Scientific Technician III (Data Collector)*TEMPORARY*job in Dugway, UT

*****This is a temporary position*****
The Scientific Technician III position will expose the incumbent to testing and observations. Will be required to have the ability to work independently on routine contract task assignments and receive instructions and guidance on complex assignments from Government POC. Have good observation and note taking skills and have the ability to convert notes into formal observations and test incident reports. Ability to set up and maintain data collection data base and provide scientist and other senior staff with overall test related documentation support as tasked. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Associate degree or 2-year technical school
* Minimum of five years related experience
* Demonstrated experience and specialized training in physical sciences, engineering, or biological sciences or related fields
* Provide mathematical or other data analysis support
* Work on segments of complex data processing schemes using sophisticated software and computer systems
* Ability to work independently on routine contract task assignments and receive instructions and guidance on complex assignments from Government POC
* Other assignments may include those outlined in Scientific Tech I and II Duties
* Demonstrate effective communication skills
* Ability to set up and maintain data collection data base
* Provide scientist and other senior staff with overall test related documentation support as tasked

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* The work of this position may be performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the test center
* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted

Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must be able to successfully complete a background check
* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess a valid Utah driver's license, without special restrictions
