CEPRA Landscape is actively looking for a Production Specialist or Manager in The Villages area. A CEPRA Production Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple maintenance crews in the field. The Production Specialist’s main responsibilities are to ensure crew safety and efficient work practices through training and supervision.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Making safety a priority. Lead by example and drive safe practices in the yard and the field. Including proper use of PPE and equipment.
  • Communicate daily with Account Management to understand customer priorities.
  • Proactive production planning. This includes inspecting jobs prior to scheduled service day and providing Crew Leaders with prioritized service plans.
  • Relentless follow up of completed work to ensure it meets CEPRA’s quality standards.
  • Monitor all aspects of the landscape and communicate with Account Manager and Branch support teams to schedule timely horticulture and irrigation services.
  • Provide hands-on field training to Crew Leaders and Gardeners whenever possible in an effort to sustain a culture of ‘continuous improvement’.
  • Perform hands-on work with Crews as needed to meet work and scheduling demands.
  • Coordinates equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Ensure pro-active equipment maintenance schedules are followed and performed properly.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
  • Bilingual a plus, but experience managing a diverse workforce that includes keeping non-English speakers on task and working efficiently is a must.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions Mon-Thu for 10 hours a day
  • Willingness to learn and work well with a team

CEPRA's Wish List (not required, but valued):

  • Knowledge of sound horticultural practices, including pest management and weed control.
  • Ability to read and understand pesticide/fertilizer labels and SDS sheets
  • Experience handling, mixing, and applying chemicals at product label rates.
  • Working knowledge of Irrigation systems and components.
  • Logistics and/or Production Systems experience.
