Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Facilities Planner to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our III Corps program at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The Facilities Planner will serve as the single point of contact for all Mission Training Complex (MTC) facility-related issues, identifying and implementing all applicable government regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring all MTC facilities are appropriately and adequately maintained. The selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and supervise MTC facility scheduling, utilization, maintenance, future requirements, and grounds programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Site Operations, Plans, and Training Officer to identify training unit facility support requirements to ensure facility availability, configuration, and utilization in order to support all levels of training events
  • Synchronizes and coordinates macro-level Mission Command Information System (MCIS), network, and trainer support for all training events involving the Fort Sill MTC
  • Oversees all aspects of Large Exercise and Facility Scheduling, Security Operations, and tracks and reports Quality Assurance and Quality Control metrics in accordance with Government guidance
  • Maintains FT Sill MTC Training Support-Materiel Army wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) Data base. TS-MATS is the IT system in the Army to collect and maintain inventory, maintenance, usage, and workload information for all U.S. Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Training, Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS)
  • Submits and maintains all required reports and documentation
  • Represents the government customer, as directed, at installation-level facility meetings. Coordinates with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) to plan and execute both routine and emergency facility repairs
  • Develops and implements key control procedures in accordance with AR 190-11 and 190-51
  • Supervises the MTC Fire Marshall and Safety programs (duties may require occasional work outdoors)


Basic Qualifications:

  • One of the following:
    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of professional and/or military facilities experience
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional and/or military facilities experience
    • Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional and/or military facilities experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience managing Army facilities and familiarity with the DPW work-order process. Strong knowledge of Army property / supply accountability procedures involving facilities, supplies, and automation equipment
  • Previous Army leadership experience
  • Detailed understanding of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) such as Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), etc.
  • Minimum of 1 year working in Mission Command training support or Mission Training Complex training or facilities support
  • Strong knowledge of Army property / supply accountability procedures involving facilities, supplies, and automation equipment
  • Possess a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work on-site at Fort Sill in Oklahoma
  • Must be able to travel as required (up to 10% of the time)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Mission Command training support or Mission Training Complex training or facilities support
  • TS-MATS operator training
  • Detailed knowledge of military organizations and training
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working in Mission Command training support or Mission Training Complex training or facilities support or as a Mission Command trainer familiar with MTC operations and support

Salary Range: $57,400.00 - $86,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
