Our Roots

The Laurel Highlands Insurance Group LLC has represented Erie Insurance and other carriers since 1939. Originally appointed by Erie Insurance founder H.O. Hirt, the agency is one of Erie's oldest tenured agencies. In 1997, Joseph Rettura Jr. became the Principal, laying the foundation. In 2010 his son JJ joined, and they expanded to three locations serving over 11,000 policies across southwestern PA. Their mission is "to provide as near perfect service as possible with an educated, competent, and respectful staff. Each client is the most important person."

The agency has an open-door policy and 14 state-licensed employees with over 260 combined years of experience. They aim to make clients feel like part of their family.
