LMI is seeking a skilled Logistics Program Analyst at Army Materiel Command (AMC) HQ in Huntsville, AL. This position is on Redstone Arsenal, AL at Army Materiel Command (AMC) HQ and requires a DOD SECRET Clearance. The candidate must be self-directed, adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal skills able to interact with senior Army leaders on a daily basis.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations.
- Synthesize project findings into actionable recommendations with demonstrable benefits in business performance.
- Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations.
- Maintains working relationships with functional counterparts at Army staff and AMC subordinate commands, to obtain and disseminate information, provide and justify recommendations, serve on special committees and groups, and support briefs, EXSUMs, and info papers to executive level management. .
- Assist in marketing of consulting services, including market research, teaming arrangements, competitive analysis, and creation of marketing publications.
- Assist in business performance assessment and reporting.
REQUIRED
- Undergraduate degree required. Degree in engineering, finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, supply chain management, or a related discipline preferred.
- This position requires twelve (12) or more years' work experience.
- Army Sustainment knowledge/experience required.
- Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to use spreadsheet, database, and project management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, to include WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and OUTLOOK.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and apply domain-specific expertise through on-the-job training and professional development training.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
- Available for occasional travel.
- This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Master's degree or higher in related discipline.
- Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Senior Service College (SSC) graduate.
- Experience working on Army Staff, Army Command (ACOM) staff, or Army Service Component Command (ASCC) staff.
- Working knowledge of Army Materiel Command (AMC) Organization.
- Working knowledge of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) program.
- Familiarity with the following domains: Predicted Logistics, Contested Logistics, Predictive and Prognostic Maintenance (PPMx), Fleet Management, or Telematics.
- Experience using data-driven techniques to include data analytics to improve sustainment operations and decisions.
- Experience preparing and coordinating working papers, briefings, and other documentation in support of sustainment modernization initiatives.
