Description

Great Western Building Systems seeks a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Specialist will oversee the ordering, storing, organization, receiving, and distributing processes of Great Western Building Systems’ materials and supplies.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a proactive problem-solver committed to maintaining precise records. They will ensure that inventory levels remain optimal. Main duties include controlling the materials, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance, and developing protocols for efficient use and loss mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the organization, placement, and storage of materials to best support shop efficiency

• Evaluate new inventory, ensuring it meets all standards, quality control, and lot tracking protocols

• Perform cycle counts as needed to ensure accurate records are maintained

• Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs

The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required

• Strong record-keeping and organizational skills

• Leadership skills for hiring employees, resolving conflicts, and keeping employees on task and motivated

• Critical-thinking skills to establish actions plans and routinely assess their effectiveness

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they occur

Compensation and Benefits

• $14.42 - $16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Experience

• Inventory or manufacturing experience preferred

• Knowledge of Netsuite and RFSmart Scanning software is preferred
