Summary/Objective
Under limited supervision, the heavy mobile & Industrial equipment mechanic lead position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and oversees preventive maintenance program; performs related work as assigned.
Essential Functions

- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs Mobile and stationary processing equipment.
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of Trucks, Trailers, and other associated equipment.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports.
- Oversees and maintains the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Complies with OSHA safety and health rules. Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Properly follows company safety procedures. Brings problems to the attention of the Maintenance & Processing Manager or Leadership Team.
- Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Attends all company required safety meetings.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
- 3-5 years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding.
