The targeted compensation rate for this full time year round, non-exempt position is $17.00/hr. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Resorts Collection.

Job Description

Join our team as a Restaurant Host for the Madeline Hotel, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by warmly greeting, seating and bidding fond farewells while assuring each guest’s known preferences are acknowledged and assure a memorable story.

Core Responsibilities

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done  Within the Auberge family, our leaders our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Greet guests, answer phones, take and maintain reservations and waitlists as well as special requests
  • Seat guests according to standard, calculate table turns and communicate wait times effectively
  • Perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperation, and work with a minimum of supervision
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly while providing service to many guests at any given time
Qualifications

  • Two years' experience in customer service, preferably food and beverage
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
  • Ability to comfortably learn and communicate all menu items
  • Basic computer skills, general knowledge of POS systems
