Fire Extinguisher Technician

Position Summary: This position is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of portable devices. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and performing fire extinguisher checks in accordance to fire code; identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings
• Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code
• Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
• Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Protect and maintain company equipment
• Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driver safety and personal protective equipment

Education & Required Skills:

• High School Diploma / GED
• At least 1 year of experience as a Fire Extinguisher Tech
• Knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site
• The ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations
