RESPONSIBILITIES

Sentrillion is seeking a Network Administrator, Junior level to join our team located at the Engineering Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, MS. The position Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a Network Administrator for high performance computing engineering, operations, and will liaison with senior government personnel.
  • Perform network administration for local DoD supercomputing resource center enclaves including hardware, firmware, software and wiring/optics.
  • Configure networks and associated supporting software and utilities to optimize system performance.
  • Perform risk/benefit analysis prior to implementing changes.
  • Maintain the network topology and diagrams to support security activities as well as maintain all network devices in accordance with DoD policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years' working experience, or equivalent experience; candidates with Armed Forces college courses or associate degrees, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01M/ IAT-II requirements (i.e. Sec+)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Extensive work experience managing and troubleshooting networks
  • Experience working with Juniper, Cisco, Brocade, and other network technologies and firewalls
  • Strong problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing and resolving operating system problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of management for planning and organizing projects.
  • Strong detail-oriented skills; able to multi-task and change priorities quickly.
  • Able to meet precise standards.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner.
  • Ability to work designated schedule, as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.
