Job Title: Service ManagerExempt/Non-Exempt:ExemptDepartment:ServiceSalary:Based on Qualifications Reports To:CEO/PresidentDivision:Ludlum MeasurementsDepartment:600Location:Sweetwater, TXJob Summary:Provide daily leadership and strategic management to the LMI Service organization responsible for the repair and calibration of radiation instruments manufactured by Ludlum and others. Ensures the line of business achieves its financial and on time delivery objectives while providing exceptional service to its customers. Actively markets and promotes Service solutions to Ludlum customers worldwide to grow the business.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 
  • Ensure smooth and efficient instrument flow through the department while overseeing its personnel and processes.
  • Inspire and direct department personnel to maintain schedule, on time progress, and objectives to ensure high customer satisfaction rates.
  • Operationally minded identifying and correct inefficient processes to decrease costs while increasing profitability.
  • Actively assists other departments and lines of business to achieve their goals and objectives as needed.
  • Assists with company planning, organizing, and execution of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement Sales & Marketing initiatives to further Ludlum’s aftermarket programs in the marketplace.
  • Manages and reports monthly warranty costs leading to higher instrument reliability and availability at lower costs.
  • Promptly address customer inquiries as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned or required.
Job Profile:Education & Experience:
  • A four-year college degree is preferred with a minimum of five years' experience leading a line of business and its people to success.
  • Industry experience is not required but technical skills to understand Ludlum’s products are necessary.
  • Superior leadership skills to achieve all objectives.
  • Effective financial and business planning to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, and organizational skills are required.
  • Instinctive customer relationship skills to build customer loyalty.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly report to all levels of internal and external management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on MS Excel.
