Primary Responsibilities will include
- Performs various engineering related calculations and analyses in the application of the basic design criteria necessary to complete assigned projects.
- Proficient in MicroStation/GeoPak.
- Collaborates with CAD technicians, field technicians, designers, surveyors and other team personnel to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
- Assists the lead engineer or manager in estimating and tracking project costs.
- Has a working knowledge of the procedures to execute a sound and efficient project, with the goal of developing good project management techniques.
- Coordinates the preparation of data tabulation/evaluation and reports and assists in report production and development of engineering designs and specifications.
- Performs quality control (QC) checks.
- Performs field assignments including site inspections and conducting field assessment of properties.
- Maintains field notes and photo documentation as required.
What you'll need
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in in Environment or Civil Engineering or related discipline. E.I. Certification or achieved within 6 months of hire.
Experience:
- Zero - four years of overall and progressively responsible experience with public and private sector projects.
Skills:
- Knowledge in the use of CAD programs including Microstation/GeoPak and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Strong organizational skills, including but not limited to, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, etc.
- Flexibility in hours, based on business needs.
