Role: To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments and building financial realtionships with new and existing members.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:65%Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells monetary instruments to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.15%Promotes and cross-sells credit union services and products.10%Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.5%Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including projects, sorting, copying, computer input and backing up Receptionist.5%Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.To accurately post transactions and balance work, with errors and/or outages not to exceed established policy guidelines.To process an established percentage or average number per hour of branch transactions to be measured in performance evaluation goals.To meet or exceed monthly product and services referral goals.To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceOne month to twelve months of similar or related experience.EducationA high school education or GED.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.Other SkillsTen key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.Physical RequirementsTalking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed, important or confidential instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, quietly or quickly.

Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Finger Dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.

Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

Physical Strength: Standing – 8 hours per day. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.
