Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various ingredients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of Hot Dishes:

  • Execute the preparation of appetizers, entrees, and other hot dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards for back of house.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards.

Station Setup and Organization:

  • Set up and organize the hot station with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency.

Kitchen Organization:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Properly label and store all prepared ingredients.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and adhere to sanitation guidelines.

Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Assist other kitchen staff as needed during peak hours.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in food preparation.
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a kitchen environment.
  2. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  5. Team player with excellent communication skills.
  6. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  7. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary school training or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years experience
