Fleet Mechanic

Summary: Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for keeping vehicles running smoothly? Cascade Utilities is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they're always in top condition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform upkeep and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered engines, electrical and mechanical components, and other equipment as needed.
• Diagnose issues, adjust, refurbish, and repair various types of vehicles.
• Recommend part replacements or services to maintain fleet safety and reliability.

Requirements:

• Sound understanding of repair tools, equipment, and diagnostic testing tools.
• Ability to diagnose and perform routine repairs on engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, fuel, and ignition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal customers.
• Auto body repair and painting skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in welding and electrical work.
• Effective coordination with coworkers and other departments.
• Ability to order spare parts and ensure timely arrival for repairs.
• Experience with routine truck repair and maintenance, including air brakes.

Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant degree/diploma from an accredited institution.
• Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience as a fleet mechanic, with ASE certifications as a bonus.
