Golf Course Grounds Crew Member

Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance Crew Member

Job Summary: As a member of our golf course maintenance crew, you will work under the supervision of the superintendent or assistant superintendent to ensure the course is maintained to the highest standards, providing our golfers with an exceptional playing experience.

Job Duties:

·         Set up and change cup placements daily

·         Rake bunkers

·         Maintain landscaped areas, ensuring they are free of debris, weeds, and trash

·         Mow rough and trim around bunkers and other features

·         Perform irrigation repairs

·         Trim and remove trees

·         Mow fairways and approaches

·         Communicate promptly with the supervisor regarding course issues

·         Operate weed eaters

·         Assist with routine cultural practices such as overseeding, aerification, topdressing, vertical mowing, and rolling

Job Requirements:

·         Punctuality and readiness to work when on the property

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50lbs frequently

·         Transportation to and from work

·         Availability to work into late afternoon/early evening when required

·         High school diploma

·         Flexible schedule and positive attitude

·         Desire to learn and ability to work well independently or with a team

·         Professionalism at all times

·         Weekend availability as needed

Ideal Candidate (preferred):

·         2-4 year degree in golf and turfgrass management

·         Prior on-course experience

·         Knowledgeable about chemical/fertility applications and equipment

·         Experience working on Bermuda greens

·         General knowledge of disease identification and prevention

·         Understanding of irrigation troubleshooting, repair, and water management practices for Bermuda
