General Summary

The Campus 2 Career (C2C) position is directly tied to our Bank Independent Leadership and Management development program. This program is designed for team members who are “less than two years removed from graduation”. It is a 12-month program designed for recent collegiate graduates seeking to grow and develop a career within the Bank. These team members will be immersed into the overall bank culture as well as extensive exposure to the differing departments within the organization. This program aids and benefits the organization in the recruiting and retention of talent by capturing a broad scope of experiences designed to serve both the needs of the organization and the team members. This role has direct exposure to leadership development as well as management development. Through in-depth exposure, this role will utilize education, skills, talent, and character to assist in determining, where upon completion, placement needs to be.

Essential Functions

  • This position will be a 12-month rotational training designed to strengthen leadership skills, banking knowledge, and the unique Bank Independent Culture
  • Intensive training in communication, leadership and introduction to banking that enables application of these skills in critical roles
  • Work in functional areas of the organization to include but not limited to: Marketing, Operations, Sales Offices, and Credit
  • Immersive understanding of our elevated level of Customer Service that produces “Raving Fans”, informed by our Culture, Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Provide access to an instant peer group and networking opportunities to help learn and grow within the Bank
  • Matched with a Mentor for guidance

First Half: 6 months of basics

  • Intentional relationship building built into the first month of exposure as a tour of the organization creates a high-level overview
  • Deep dive visits – In-depth work exposure into determined departments covering approximately 20 weeks

Second Half: 6 months of specified track approach

  • In conjunction with individual interest and skills, department selection will be based on organizational needs and alignment. Options would include Sales, Operations, and Interstate Billing Services
  • Exposure through Bank Independent University to Servant Leadership Curriculum and Management Development Series
  • Personality and Working Assessments to assist in full picture view for proper alignment
  • Upon completion of the program there is an opportunity for direct-position placement determined by matching personal desires with organizational needs

Working Conditions

  • Generally good, with little exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, dust or other adverse factors
  • Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work leaving the department
  • Travel within the Bank Independent network required. Mostly day travel with occasional overnight travel.

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training

  • Recent completion of degree program from four-year university or college. Recent is defined as having graduated less than two years ago
  • Degree concentration in Business, Finance, Marketing, Management, Communication, or Psychology preferred

  • The ability to accomplish multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to develop knowledge of bank product, services, and processes
  • The ability to develop a thorough understanding of bank specific software
  • Have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications of Word, Excel, and Outlook
