Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Rainier, OR. As the sole school psychologist in our small, rural district, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological services to students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Performing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as needed.
  • Providing support to the district's Response to Intervention (RTI)/Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) pre-referral systems.
  • Collaborating with various team members, including teachers, administrators, and parents, to address student needs and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Utilizing the Problem-Solving Methodology (PSW) for Specific Learning Disability (SLD) identification.
  • Providing counseling and support to students facing social-emotional challenges.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and providing input on student progress.
  • Supporting teachers and staff in creating positive and inclusive classroom environments.
  • Advocating for students' well-being and educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Valid School Psychology license through the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) in Oregon.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for evaluating students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed in a small, rural district setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with the Problem-Solving Methodology (PSW) for SLD identification is preferred.

Other Details:

  • All schools are located on one campus, providing a close-knit and supportive community environment.
  • You will have your own office space to carry out your responsibilities effectively.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
