Star Nursing has Urgent Needs For LPN's

Location:  Vernon, TX 76384

Facility:  Psychiatric

Start date: ASAP

Length: 6 months

Shift: x5 8hr alternating shift (PM/NOC, working every other weekend)

Note: Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship

LVN Pay rate:

Local: $30/hr

Travel:  ($14/hr taxed + $720/wk tax-free travel stipend)

** Must be 50 miles away from permanent residence to qualify for housing allowance**

Responsibilities:

·                     Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.

·                     Perform computer data entry – Receive full training

·                     Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, NTSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

Requirements:

·                     Current Resume - must be updated (gaps included if there's any)

·                     LVN license - Active TX

·                     Current AHA BLS/CPR

·                     Charge nurse or supervisory experience is preferred

·                     Experience needs to be hospital acute care, LTC , community clinics, public health, etc. (not Home Health or School Nurse)

·                     2 current supervisor references

·                     Physical (within 12 months)

·                     TB skin test (within 12 months)

·                     Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements

·                     Must submit to HHSC required drug test

·                     Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting

·                     Must complete facility and HHSC required training
