Job DescriptionCompany Description
This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the shipment of product to customers internationally and domestically
- Responsible for the accuracy of the shipments, ensuring on-time delivery of shipments, meeting all documented requirements and inventory management
- Using software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
- Manage documents such as advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading
- Direct the flow of packages from prepared to shipment
- Inspect labels, barcodes and other required items to compete order
- Supervision of employees
- Control the budget of the shipping department
- Resolve any issues with shipped orders
- Follow company policies and regulations
- Experience with of logistics procedures
- Experience with EDI and preparing shipments
- Experience with Microsoft office
Qualifications:
- At least two years previous experience as a shipping manager
- Prefer a BSBA in Supply Chain and Logistics
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience with shipping, transportation, warehousing is a plus
- Experience with of logistics procedures
- Experience with EDI and preparing shipments
- Experience with Microsoft office – especially Excel
- Experience in evaluating employees
Hours are:
Monday through Friday – 1st Shift
The salary is up to $80K based on experience
