About this job

Role and Responsibilities

Formulation Design provides an intuitive, digital work environment for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies to capture the product development information for formula design in real-time. The developers of Formulation Design have used their extensive domain expertise to create an exceptional enterprise solution to build, manage, label, and launch formulated products. This is a multi-geo team comprised of both Development and Quality Assurance. The team works with Product Management to understand and deliver as per the requirements.

Product formulation is about creating the best new or enhanced products in a short time while guaranteeing the availability of the lowest-cost materials. In addition, changing regulatory laws and constant innovation in product forms demand an adaptable development framework for formulating, batching, and scaling of products in collaborative environments.

As part of your role, you will be contributing to enhancing the formulator experience via multi-formula editing capabilities. Comparing formulas is useful when formulators are developing multiple formulas for a single product line - for example, lipsticks in different shades from a single base formula. This role will expose you to various client and server frameworks working together presenting a complex yet friendly powerful view to the formulator. We use Angular AgGrid for the view with a strong backing calculation engine built on Java.

As part of the development process, you will work with multi-geo teams comprised of both Development and Quality Assurance. You will work with Product Management teams to understand the requirements and deliver as per the specs.

Qualifications

* Pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.

* Previous software development experience.

* Proficient in Typescript, Javascript.

* Experience with Angular, lodash and ngrx.

* Experience with Aggrid or any related rich datagrid.

* Proficient in a programming language such as Java.

This 6 month paid internship is on-site at our Shelton, CT office with a flexible start date. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model.
