Purpose:
Support the day-to-day operations of their assigned Harbor Light location.
Summary:
Assist Site Administrator in oversight of all operational-related activities and responsibilities of the site.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the hiring, supervision, training, and discipline of all maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, and Support Specialists.
- Coordinates and updates the sites preventative maintenance schedule for the building and vehicles with the Harbor Light System's Maintenance Director.
- Oversee daily kitchen functions and ensure continued correspondence with Food Service Administrator and/or caterer
- Prioritize and monitor work orders for repair, maintenance, and development projects
- Submit all internal and external compliance reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Conduct all inspections and emergency drills as required by the Harbor Light System
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities to assure compliance with all ordinances and codes
- Assure safe and efficient operation of all building mechanical systems
- Prepare audit schedules and all necessary information
- Submit payroll for designated employees to Harbor Light Human Resources Department
- Act as program safety office, conducting safety committee meetings, completing safety inspections, and following up on all incidents
- Maintain records in accordance with Harbor Light standards
- Maintains appropriate documentation of supervised staff
- Participate in education courses, seminars, workshops, current literature and in-service meetings to enhance skills
- Attend all staff meetings, safety committee meetings, and Department Head meetings
Qualifications:
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong organizational skills
- TB Test, Police and LEIN clearance required
- Authorization to work in the United States
Education/Experience:
- Must possess a bachelor's degree or experience in building management areas (i.e. maintenance, housekeeping, operations, and business)
- Experience with substance abuse or mental health populations preferred
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills required
- Experience with ADP payroll system preferred but not required
- Reasoning Ability:
- Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures
- Possess an understanding of the various programs that operate within the facility
- Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Michigan Chauffeur license and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
