The Knowledge Management Analyst supports the mission of the customer by designing, managing, and configuring SharePoint sites. The ideal candidate will have the people and the technical skills to gather and document requirements; determine site and library structures; configure pages, web parts, and tools; develop and deliver training; and provide troubleshooting and assistance to users of varying skill levels on the design, use, and customization of SharePoint. The candidate may also assist in business process improvement, program management, and meetings in support of a large organization.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and managing knowledge management assets within SharePoint
  • Interviewing stakeholders to document current state and future requirements for SharePoint
  • Developing a strategy, roadmap, and stakeholder engagement plan to leverage the capabilities of SharePoint in support of collaboration, data sharing, and knowledge management across multiple directorates
  • Participating in the planning, design, and deployment of new SharePoint sites, solutions (such as dashboards and trackers), and workflows
  • Designing and configuring document libraries, permissions, page designs, web parts, and the overall site structure
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business rules, style guides, governance, a data management strategy, and tools
  • Developing and delivering job aids, communications, and training to end users
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance to end users to update document libraries, task trackers, dashboards, and other SharePoint tools
  • Working closely with experienced analysts or project leaders to support the Integration Office
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Knowledge of traditional web technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript, .Net, XML) is a plus

SharePoint

  • Proficient in SharePoint platform, including its various features, functionalities, and configurations
  • Interviewing stakeholders to document the current state and future requirements for SharePoint
  • Developing a strategy, roadmap, stakeholder engagement plan, training, user documentation, and communication products to leverage the capabilities of SharePoint in support of collaboration, data sharing, and knowledge management across multiple directorate
  • Participating in the planning, design, and deployment of new SharePoint sites, solutions (such as dashboards and trackers), and workflows
  • Taking the lead in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business rules, style guides, governance, a data management strategy, delivering job aids, communications, training, and tools related to SharePoint
  • Oversee the organization, categorization, and tagging of content within SharePoint to ensure easy retrieval and dissemination of knowledge
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices related to SharePoint knowledge management solutions for future reference and training purposes.
  • Monitor the performance of SharePoint knowledge management solutions and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and usability
  • Must have DoD experience as a knowledge manager

Must be a US Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

Education and experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Prior DOD experience required
  • BA/BS degree
  • SharePoint or Knowledge management certification required
