Goodwill Industries of North Florida, Inc. is looking for a Mechanic. This position is primarily responsible for the oversight to all of
LCI’s company vehicles, lawn equipment, and trailers. This may include the design, installation, and maintenance of equipment. Responsible for assessing the need of replacement of equipment and escalating to the General Manager. This position will also be responsible for heavy line diesel engines for our transportation department. The desired candidate should be able to perform DOT inspections, perform general maintenance,including but not limited to changing of all fluids,all filters,lube chassis,perform safety
inspections.

• Repair and maintenance of all landscape equipment including scheduling for repair and maintenance that cannot be performed onsite.
  
• Responsible for trailer maintenance and record keeping
  
• Responsible for maintaining the inventory of all trailers, vehicles, shop supplies and lawn equipment
  
• Must be organized in record keeping of equipment/vehicles/parts/tools
  
• Must be self motivated to work without supervision
• Must have prior experience repairing "commercial" landscape equipment and vehicles.
• Other duties may be assigned as business needs change.

Required

1.Have general knowledge of heavy line diesel engines.

2.Ability to perform general maintenance,including but not
limited to changing of all fluids,all filters,lube chassis,perform safety
inspections.

3. Must have working knowledge of small engine repairs.

Preferred

Ability to preform DOT inspections.

Education/Experience

AA or AS Degree preferred, High School Diploma plus 2 years experience

Must have valid drivers license
