About the Role:

The Plant QA Technician’s primary objective is to assist with the improvement of QA processes, thus yielding an industry leading product to our customers. It is the responsibility of the Plant QA Technician to assist in creating, implementing and maintaining internal requirements and ensuring they are being followed consistently. These internal policies/procedures/protocols are created to meet company objectives and external requirements (regulatory and customer). A key responsibility of this position will be to drive continuous improvement and to notify management of non-conformances or deficiencies. This role requires an extremely perceptive person, capable of relating to individuals on all levels. As unique opportunities present themselves, you must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member development and public image.

  • You are happy to work a 3rd shift schedule
  • You will assist plant management with the investigation of quality issues to find root causes and corrective/preventive actions
  • You will aid in developing SOPs and other technical documents
  • You will assist with data collection, analysis and reporting for improvement initiatives
  • You will perform audits and ensure that quality checks are being done consistently and correctly
  • You will improve the plant’s level of compliance/conformance to internal and external requirements
  • You will reduce process waste, downtime and quality complaints

Who You Are:

  • Associate’s Degree and 2-3 years of manufacturing QA Technician experience preferred
  • Exhibit exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Have strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Acquire a strong analytical thinking approach to problem solving
  • Experience operating order picker or forklift machinery preferred
  • Committed to flexibility with work times when training, auditing, and inspections are needed on off-shifts
  • Willingness to work variable overtime at the discretion of the manager
  • You are comfortable lifting 70 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Fundamental to be able to climb ladders and not be afraid of heights
