We do this by helping individuals flourish regardless of income, ability, or age. Serving residents in Lake, Porter, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski and Starke Counties


FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Community Services Technician is responsible for overall clerical support of the Community Services Programs and Resources. This includes documentation development, preparation and processing, data entry and management, customer and community partner support and adherence to funding source guidelines.
The Community Services Technician is expected to be an active participant in the agency’s mission, vision, and values. He/she shall work to ensure consistent, quality services to the agency’s constituents, demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility in assignments and maintain positive working relationships with all agency personnel.


MAJOR DUTIES:
• Prepares and processes office forms, documents, informational materials for mailings, routine correspondence and other needed correspondence in agency format, and incoming and outgoing mail.
• Organizes and maintains files within the organization’s identified systems
• Organizes and maintains Supplies, Equipment and Inventory
• Tracks and processes required documentation internally and externally
• Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and record/transcribe minutes
• Assists with program workshops, program events, contractor orientation and presentations
• Develops educational material for program clients, partners, and landlords
• Track, and process Service Provider payments
• Data entry for program tracking and production
• Maintains confidential and accuracy of programmatic customer files and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Tracks and provides data to supervisor weekly, monthly, and quarterly on inspections, targeted applications, and production stats
• Research program and community resources
• Schedules appointments
• Provides direct service to customers and other stakeholders which includes; vendors, community partners and NWICA employees in face-to-face, group, telephone and electronic communication.
• Provides telephone support for call groups in a timely, professional manner following the organization’s protocol.
• Responds timely and professionally to customer and stakeholder inquires and concerns
• Records and relays messages to appropriate staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Services


MINIMIM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two years related work experience.
• Adhere to agency and programmatic policies and operating procedures.
• Understanding the critical aspect of confidentiality.
• Understanding of the low-income, aging and disabled client populations.
• Basic Math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and basic bookkeeping) and Basic English grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with customers, service providers, staff members and the public in face-to-face, telephone and electronic communication.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to operate a fax machine, copier, telephone, adding machine, scanner and computer workstation.
• Typing 60 WPM
• Use of work processing, spreadsheet, and agency database systems.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft TEAMS, Excel, Word, Power Point preferred
• Spanish Speaking preferred
