This is an exciting time to join TAG’s team at a high-growth stage. TAG is looking for a HVAC/R Installer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the install trade. The HVAC/R Installer position requires the ability to read and interpret documents and the ability to speak effectively with general contractors and other tradesmen.

Responsibilities and skills:
  • Use blueprints or design specifications to install or repair HVACR systems
  • Calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems and ensure appropriate temperatures are maintained
  • Handle different refrigerants and oils
  • Keep all HVAC and mechanical rooms clean, orderly, and organized
  • Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
  • Test electrical circuits or components to determine necessary repairs
  • Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components
  • Determine HVACR systems’ energy use and make recommendations to improve efficiency
  • Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area
  • Install new refrigeration, cases, racks, compressor houses, case line ups, refrigeration piping, and hanging hardware material
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • GED or High School diploma
  • Two (2) year Technical College course in refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning strongly recommended
  • EPA Universal Certification a plus
  • Requires 3 years’ experience in HVAC refrigeration install trade
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively with general contractors and other tradesmen
  • Travel out of area for work
