CNC Programmer/Nester

Job Summary

This position is responsible for programming CNC machinery for all production facilities using files provided by engineering. This will include optimizing the material usage and minimizing wasted material by nesting sheet metal components. Operating the CNC equipment to create parts.

Job Responsibilities

· Create CNC file for machinery from DWGs, DXFs, and Solidworks models using EnRoute

· Optimize existing files to increase efficiency on labor and material

· Provide technical support to manufacturing and design personnel

· Operate CNC equipment (laser, router, folder, printer) as needed

Requirements:

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED required

· 2 years of experience operating and/or programming CNC lasers, routers, or plasma cutters (is a plus)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Using nesting software

· Experience using EnRoute, Flexi, and/or DraftSight, Auto CAD and SolidWorks (is a plus)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time First Shift position with some overtime varying.

· First shift core hours are: 8:00 to 4:30 pm M-F.

Physical Demands

Will be at a computer for long periods of time. This position could require an employee to be able to be in motion on a hard surface. Lifting, bending, and stretching could be frequent. Noise level of an average production floor.
