Community Engagement Lead & Project Coordinator Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center

Arundel Lodge, Inc. is a behavioral health agency that strives to improve the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center, located on the campus of Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center, serves those in need of short-term urgent care to manage a mental health or substance use disorder.

Arundel Lodge is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join its state-funded Rapid Access for Youth (RAY) Team, operating within the Behavioral Health Urgent Crisis Center (BHUCC). The RAY Team focuses on bridging local students experiencing behavioral health needs and their families with appropriate behavioral health care services. This position is pivotal in supporting both external and internally facing projects of the RAY Team and reports directly to the RAY Team Program Director.

Education and experience; BA or BS Degree in a related field preferred and two years of project management or grant management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Director in community engagement efforts, fostering relationships and partnerships with local schools and organizations including some local travel and outreach on site with partner organizations.
  • Coordinate day to day grant components, taking a proactive approach to ensure deliverables are met, supporting with core components of grant administration, and driving results in a fast paced mission focused environment
  • Manage multiple priorities, take initiative to overcome barriers, identify opportunities for increased efficiencies, and foster cross team collaboration.
  • Attend grant calls and team meetings, assist in drafting grant reports, support with data collection, and keep RAY Team members informed and prepared for upcoming milestones
  • Engage and motivate others through effective communication and collaboration, leveraging an outgoing and persuasive communication style.

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with active listening abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in project coordination with the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Ability to coordinate and track grant-funded projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing grant proposals and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health services and community engagement strategies is preferred.

Strong candidates may also have one or more of the following:

  • A background in project coordination and/or administration and familiarity with project management approaches and tools.
  • Experience in assisting with or managing grant deliverables and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  • Familiarity with grant application processes and reporting procedures.
  • Interest in growing their skills and career in grants management and administration at ALI.
