Phlebotomist I

Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Phlebotomistto work in a Lab Facilityin Eustis, FL.

The Phlebotomistis responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. They also have direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Committed to all policies & procedures including Company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
• Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
• Phlebotomy certification - Preferred
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience. will be working with straight needles – Required
• One (+) years phlebotomy experience - Preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment - Preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience – Required

Job Details:

• Schedule: Varies 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Starting at $17.25/hr. (Based on experience)
• Mandatory Saturday rotation
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
