We are seeking a process-driven individual who has a passion for the power sports world, innovation and desire to go to the limits of what is technically possible with our development team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Innovation and Development Engineer will lead all stages of product development by applying a thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices from concept to market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with marketing to identify the needs and goals for new product development for our Handy product line and performance enhancement of current products.
Develop scope, schedule and budget for projects based on agreed upon roadmap; driving project deliverables from start to finish.
Lead a Product Designer by assigning responsibilities and coaching for performance development.
Conceptualize new product ideas using CAD software.
Review materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances and other factors for best performance and cost.
Design, fabricate, and test prototypes.
Create and maintain required project documentation.
Create accurate and detailed bill of materials, parts, weldments, and assembly drawings.
Facilitate product development meetings that seek to achieve alignment across applicable functions.
Present routine project updates to leadership.
Oversee and participate in all established project deliverables and overall project execution.
Facilitate resolution to engineering roadblocks.
Develop quality control criteria.
Provide technical and warranty support for customers.
Attend industry events.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Experience: 1+ years planning and product design experience; industry specific product experience a plus
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Other Requirements: CAD software, 3D Modeling, CMM Software
