Kitchen Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
  • Streamlining the kitchen organization and training to maintain such
  • Working with the Head Chef to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
  • Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation requirements
  • Tracking plateware and sanitation chemicals to identify areas of potential waste
  • Closing kitchen and daily checkout with kitchen staff
  • Managing food safety labeling and storage
