Duties and Responsibilities of Automotive Technician:

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements on a variety of vehicles
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including identifying required parts and labor costs
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks on a variety of makes and models
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding potential issues and repairs required
• Keep up-to-date with automotive trends and maintain industry certifications
• Keep a detailed record of all work performed on each vehicle
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Automotive certification or degree in Automotive Technology preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Technician in a dealership or similar environment
• Proficient in diagnostic equipment and computer systems
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
• Clean driving record
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen

Work Environment:

As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles and working with hazardous, fatal materials. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drug or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.
