McLeod Centers for Wellbeing was founded in 1969 in Charlotte, North Carolina. It has since grown to be the largest provider of comprehensive substance use disorder treatment in western North Carolina. From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients’ journey to recovery. McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently accepting applications for a Full-time LPN to serve the clients at its Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in Concord.

Program operates Monday to Friday, 5:00 am - 12:30 pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 6:00 am - 9:00 am. LPNs will have schedules arranged to work 37.5 hours per week and will not be required to work every weekend.

What does this position do for the agency? The position is responsible for the following, with other duties as assigned:

  • Administer medication to clients according to medical order.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and notes as required.
  • Perform intake with new clients.
  • Ensure doctor’s orders are followed.
  • Obtain vital signs from clients as needed or as ordered by the doctor.
  • Thorough and demonstrative understanding of scope in OTP setting.
  • Assist with physical examinations.
  • Serve other nursing functions as sanctioned by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Education/Experience:

Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as an LPN or holds a license with multi-state practice privileges by authority of the Nurse Licensure Compact. Prior experience with SUD/MH population preferred but not required.
