Role

As a Polymer Processing Associate (also known as Polymer Processing Technician, Polymer Lab Assistant), you'll be responsible for polymer resin preparation, material modifications, and accurate data collection. You'll maintain process conditions, provide support to new product design and process development, and offer technical assistance to the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory. You'll also troubleshoot processing issues, perform minor mechanical repairs to lab equipment, and operate lab scale extruders, thermo-formers, and more.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with polymer materials and processes.
  • HS Diploma, Associate’s degree, B.S. degree, or equivalent.
  • High level of initiative with the ability to work independently. Skilled in customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well with others in team environment. Attention to detail and follow-up is important. Reliable attendance and a can-do attitude are essential.
