Job Description
Crucial is seeking entry level Composite Technicians to repair commercial airline aircraft and components at our new hangars on Murphysboro Airport/MDH/SIA.
Ideal entry-level candidates possess excellent hand to eye coordination, attention to detail, organization, cleanliness and be willing to learn in an industry which will more than double the starting salary in a very short time. Prior experience in industries such as autobody, boat manufacture or repair, finish carpentry provides an excellent starting point and will be recognized as prior experience to elevate starting pay.

Hired applicants will be responsible to report to their immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements and specifications established by Crucial, its customers, applicable government agencies, as well as the aircraft manufacturer's manuals. Crucial currently maintains Airbus A320 series, Bombardier CRJ series, Boeing 737/767/777, and all Embraer series aircraft.
Minimum Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
- Be able to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals and exposure to loud noises.
- Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
- Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
- Must have Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and remain on the DOT program for the duration of employment with random testing.
