We are currently seeking a Crew Lead to join our Team in Ft Myers, FL.
Scope of work:
The Solar Crew Lead is responsible for managing the solar installation crew and is responsible for the successful implementation of all aspects of the installation process. You will also manage the successful installation of solar electrical equipment for photovoltaic systems. The Solar Crew Lead will have knowledge of different solar electrical tie-ins, how to install equipment according to NEC code, and how to wire the AC portions of a system.
Responsible for the supervision of the entire installation project
Responsible for supervising safety on the job
Complete installation on various roof types as well as ground mounts
Responsible for supervising quality and efficiency of work performed on site
Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment
Identify solutions to resolve technical design problems, including electrical systems used during construction
Provide training to technicians
All workmanship is compliant with current NEC and local codes.
Provide on-site troubleshooting for solar systems and resolve electrical issues
Perform supply side interconnections, MSP upgrades, running conduit, load shifting, and trenching.
Meet with and develop relationships with inspectors.
Answer any questions that the customer may have about their electrical systems and components
Complete other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Solar Industry Experience preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of electrical experience
3+ years in the solar electric industry, preferred
Formal apprenticeship and/or vocational training
Must possess a current, valid Driver's license
Proficiency in MS Office
Very strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergencies
Projects a professional appearance
Experience reading, interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematics
Applicants should be in good physical shape with no lifting restrictions, comfortable using hand tools, power tools, using ladders and working on roofs and have reliable transportation to and from work.
