Engineer, Curing Department (Bilingual English/Korean)

Job Summary

Will be accountable for the manufacturability and quality of new products. Responsible for executing advanced or specialized engineering functions generally focused on work standardization, process improvement, project management and root-cause analysis for quality and production issues.

Primary Duties

  • Manage the manufacturing specifications for all assigned research and development mass productions
  • Consistently inspect the production process and decipher whether the problems are method, material or machine based
  • Maintain and improve the quality for mass production by identifying the root-cause and seeking a solution
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to the manufacturing curing process and apply the necessary solution and publish the amended specification
  • Maintain the publication of the manufacturing process technical standard for curing and record, revise and amend the standard as necessary
  • Perform full-cycle project management for MRO ordering (project specifications, RFQ, bidding contracts, consultations and invoices)
  • Build a good rapport with suppliers and other manufacturers
  • Provide technical support to the operating units
  • Perform other related duties as needed or assigned
  • Report to work on a regular, consistent basis; perform work safely

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical proficiency in basic engineering principles acquired through education
  • Excellent communication skills with internal departments and outside vendors
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to quickly develop professional and constructive relationships with outside vendors and internal stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required
