Recovery Specialist I

Salary: $18.79 - $19.82

Responsible for facilitating the operation of a residential alcohol and drug addiction recovery program as well as serving the special needs of program participants and individuals involved with the criminal justice system, who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Provide medical observation and social model recovery. Maintain a safe, cooperative, caring atmosphere.

 

This position works overnight, and weekends shifts

 

NOTE:  Employees will be required to be fingerprinted and will be subject to clearance by the department of Justice. Health Screening and TB Testing are a required for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.  Basic knowledge and/or experience in the alcohol and drug addictions field and residential treatment program a plus; if in recovery, approved amount of time in continuous sobriety.  First aid training is needed but will be provided if not registered. Emergency Medical Technicians, nursing students, VNA experience, are encouraged to apply and must have proof of basic safety training

NOTE:  Employees will be required to be vaccinated, boosted, fingerprinted, and will be subject to clearance by the department of Justice.
