PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for loading and shipping products to meet Anchor Ingredients' high-quality standards while ensuring the day-to-day operational needs are met in a safe and timely manner. This position will prep, stage, and load rail cars and then drive transfer trucks between facilities in free time. Applicant must be able to drive a manual transmission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transload Operations

  • Be able to safely and efficiently clean and stage rail cars in the loading area.
  • Operate payloader or track mobile to move rail cars into position.
  • Drive onto or back over the transfer conveyor with a semi-truck and trailer.
  • Unload the trailer while monitoring the level in a rail car, moving the car as it fills.
  • Seal and document rail car, submitting paperwork and product retain sample.
  • Be able to work between facilities transferring products when needed.
  • Scale, and ensure correct product, quantity, and destination.
  • Ensure correct paperwork and retain samples for proper documentation.
  • Understand workflows to reduce wait times where possible.
  • Be part of the team.
  • This position supports the overall production of multiple facilities.
  • Must be able to work with on-site supervisors to ensure a proper schedule.
  • Must be able to work with other scale houses or process operators.

Housekeeping

  • Clean up any mess before going home for the day ensuring no personal belongings or garbage is left at workstations or other shared common areas.
  • Sweep around the pit between loads and the entire scale once per shift
  • Put tools back in their places after each use.
  • Disconnect air hoses when they are not in use.
  • Take trash to the dumpster with it is full.
  • Other Duties: mow lawn, shovel snow, move trailers, extra clean up, and any other tasks that need to be completed around the facility as assigned.

General

  • Troubleshoot and communicate breakdowns to our Maintenance team and Supervisor.
  • Repair minor issues, etc. replace drive belts & patch holes where and when able.
  • Utilize all members of the team to accomplish tasks, holding yourself and others accountable for duties performed. Ask for help when needed.
  • Prioritize employee and food safety first, facility production second and dumping and loading trucks as the third priority.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL license to drive a Semi Truck and Trailer.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to:
  • lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • stand for extended periods of time.
  • work in dust.
  • open traps on trailers/trucks.
  • work in extreme heat/cold.
  • work in confined spaces.
  • work at significant heights.
