Facility Maintenance Associate

Scheduled days - Monday through Friday - weekends as needed

Shift start - 8:00am - 5:00pm

The ideal candidate has prior experience in maintenance tasks as well as skills in painting and light carpentry. Other basic handy-man skills are required,

such as basic mechanical and routine maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Multi-tasking

· Quality work

· Safety awareness

· Operate forklift and scissor lift

· Willing and able to work in multiple temperature zones ranging from -10°ree;F to 80°ree;F (freezer, cooler, ambient)

· Good communication skills

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

· No fear of heights (some ceiling / roof work)

· Multi-weather conditions; including: rain, wind, heat

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Handyman work (repair/replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, electrical outlets, thermostats, breakers, fuses, etc.)

· Repair damaged racking (uprights, crossbeams)

· Water batteries for electric pallet jacks and forklifts

· Light plumbing

· Welding

· Caulking, filling, sealing, scraping flooring

· Power wash equipment, dock levelers

· Preventative maintenance on dock pits, doors, racking, ceiling evaporators

· Painting (exterior / interior)

· Monitor dumpsters and scheduling of pickups

· Load empty pallets onto empty trailers for pickup

· Other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Experience with Electrical repair and safety

· Basic plumbing knowledge

· General construction knowledge

· Understanding of industrial roll up doors helpful

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma

· 5 years general maintenance experience is a must

WORKING CONDITIONS

Long hours spent walking, bending, stretching, lifting or crawling while making various repairs. Exposure to extreme conditions, both

refrigerated and frozen. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. through various locations, including up and down ramps and

ladders.
