JOB TITLE: Lead II
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly
SHIFT SCHEDULE: Full-Time
DEPT/LOCATION: 735 N> MAIN STREET, YREKA, CA 96097
REPORTS TO: Site Manager

The Lead II is mainly responsible for inventory, build-to-order, CAO ordering, and setting schematics. The primary goal of this position is to support the Store Management with merchandising and inventory management, with an emphasis on minimizing inventory out-of-stock items. The critical role of a Lead II is to ensure that the store’s merchandise, presentation, and inventory management achieve company standards. This role serves as a member of the store’s leadership team and is responsible for the store’s overall merchandise management and presentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Friendly and efficient customer service
  • Duties of a Porter’s Certified Cashier
  • Ordering using CAO – walking order for store manager
  • Inventory for all departments
  • Tagging store and assuring no missing tags
  • Proper placement of Displays to include recovering displays when needed
  • Understanding schematics and how to set them
  • Review inventory procedures (daily & weekly)
  • Vendor ordering
  • Cleaning and rotating merchandise (check expiration dates and face of products)
  • Vendor relationship management (shadows the Store Manager)
  • Stock merchandise
  • Build Displays
  • Oversee and process price changes
  • Administrative knowledge and use of merchandising website
  • Lead all reset activities
  • Communicate out of stocks with the manager (daily) and follow up to ensure resolve
  • Verify vendor invoices on invoice log confirming that they are logged correctly
  • Assists with maintaining the store’s image inside and out
  • Enforce and abide by all corporate policies and procedures
  • Lead promotion implementation (pulling tags, signs, etc) & in-store promotion launches.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimal education of high school graduate or GED

• Must be able to stand or walk for the duration of shift

• Flexibility to work various schedules

• Ability to accurately handle money

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Effectively communicate with customers and employees

• Capability to work independently and be self-motivated
