General summary: Manage social and leadership programs to develop participants to their best potential. Facilitate seminars, presentations and activities focused on developing the social and leadership skills of participants.

Tasks and detailed work activities

  1. Manages the planning, implementation, evaluation and fulfillment of leadership and social programs: Keystone, Torch Club, and Passport to Man Hood and/or Girl Circle.

  1. Facilitates Youth of the Year module’s seminars and activities.

  1. Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities to develop integral skills and abilities.

  1. Sponsor extracurricular activities, such as clubs, student organizations, and community service, volunteer and academic contests.

  1. Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide participants in learning from those activities.

  1. Collaborate with fellow coworkers in planning and scheduling activities based on participant’s needs that promote leadership and social skills.

  1. Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.

  1. Manages participant profiles, documentation, folders and reports required by all leadership and social programs.

  1. Establishes and ensures compliance with behavior and security rules to maintain order among participants.

  1. Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injury and damage.

  1. Evaluates and observes performance, behavior, social development and physical and psychological health of participants.

  1. Keep informed about trends in leadership, education, and social development and subject matter specialties.


Education or experience: Bachelor’s degree in social worker, psychology, education or related field. 1+ of experience with communities, students or adolescents.
