Job Title:Shift ManagerClassification:Exempt
Department:ProductionReports to:Production ManagerJob Summary:Achieve production goals utilizing the most efficient use of personnel and equipment*Review production plan and sequence to assure efficient transitions*Review line performance, trend analysis, risk assessments and assign appropriate resources*Monitor machine performance during run time to detect potential problems and assign resources to correct before problem arises*Manage supervisors to assure process in being followed and documentation is produced*Ensure company policies are adhered to with special emphasis on safety*Be alert to methods of continuous improvement to increase efficiencies*Answer and explain failures to meet parameters for key process indicators*Act as coordinator between various departments*Be available 24/8 to react to issues as they arise*Quality - Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely*Safety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions*Other duties as assignedRequirements:Employee must have a two year degree in business or related field or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Excel and SAP preferred. Additionally, he/she must possess good problem solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis. Must be willing to work night shift on a twelve-hour rotating schedule.Environment:Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
