Job Description
Responsible for breaking down and setting up banquet facilities with all necessary tables and equipment required by our guests during their meeting or function to the specification of the chef or manager.
Essential Functions:
Set banquet rooms for daily party functions. Be sure all necessary equipment is in the room according to the function sheet.
Put linen on all tables and skirt tables when necessary.
Set up buffet tables with chafers, plates and sternos.
Decorate buffet tables and when available decorate with fresh garnish.
Set up and break down outside wedding ceremony
Organize banquet store rooms and count stock for monthly Inventory.
Clean banquet rooms
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining rooms, banquet kitchen and storage.
Assist with set-up and breakdown of out door events.
Ability to work all areas of Utility; assisting other stations and/or co-workers whenever possible.
Skills/Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent desired
Weekend & evening availability required
Ability to assess guests needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to deal directly with the public.
Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
Ability to understand and follow instructions for work to be done and complete as required with little supervision
Good problem solving skills
