Job Description

This position reports directly to the Resort Manager and is primarily responsible for maintaining the appearance of Resort grounds including building exteriors, landscaping, and parking lots.

Specific Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains Resort grounds as part of Grounds team including trimming, blowing, weeding, clearing of beds, planting, plant removal, and watering
  • Ensures that landscaped areas are free of debris
  • Ensures that sidewalks, parking lots and streets remain unobstructed and in good repair.
  • Sets up pool decks every morning. Checks and cleans poolside grills.
  • Removes trash from front of units and common areas.
  • Performs pool maintenance such as deck cleaning, vacuuming pool, emptying skimmer baskets and checking chlorine levels in absence of Pool Manager.
  • Maintains grills (charcoal and gas grills) throughout property
  • Performs pressure washing of exterior of buildings
  • Operates Grounds utility vehicles and /or golf cart to complete tasks (if applicable).
  • Safely operates grounds-related power tools and small machinery
  • Greets and interacts with Resort guests requiring good interpersonal skills.
  • Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Managerial Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Flexible Scheduling:

Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee Is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight.

The employee will occasionally be required to climb a ladder or balance and, to talk, to hear and /or smell. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and /or move 10-25 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings.

Team member will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee may be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate to loud.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhere to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures Standards of Appearance.
