Position Overview

Medical Office Assistant: This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting, this includes both clinical and front desk duties.

Licensed Practical Nurse: Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

Petroleum Valley Medical Center 296 Church Street Petrolia, Pa. 16050

  • Monday 7:30 am - 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

NO WEEKENDS

Compensation

Medical Office Assistant starts at $17.00 per hour.

Licensed Practical Nurse starts at $20 per hour.

PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Medical Assistant and/or two years' experience in a clinical setting OR Graduate of an approved nursing school
  • Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
  • Administering Medication
  • Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred
  • Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider’s direction
  • Computer proficient
